Oil fracturing detailed encyclopedia

The so-called hydraulic fracturing is through the hydraulic fracturing wells into the rock fracturing, resulting in high conductivity fracture channel, and then injected  Proppant  (mainly  Frac sand )  shore cracks, thus improving the recovery of oil and gas a petroleum mining technology.

In fact, this is not a fresh technique,  hydraulic fracturing  applications in the oil industry can be traced back to the 1860s, when people have passed glycerol trinitrate shallow hard rock fracturing to increase oil production .

In the shale gas fracturing fluid used, 98% water, and the remaining 2% of the ingredients are chemical additives. After fracturing, about 30% to 70% of the fracturing fluid is pumped back ground, called "back to drain." These typically have one of four returning drainage treatment: recycling, treatment discharged into rivers, into the groundwater, and stored in the open air reservoir.
