China shale gas development strategy and objectives

At present, China has not yet completed a nationwide investigation and evaluation of shale gas resources, according to the Ministry of Land estimates, China's major basins and regions of the shale gas technically recoverable resources of about 25 trillion to 35 trillion cubic meters. At present, Chinese enterprises have with Shell, ExxonMobil and a number of foreign companies to develop and carry out joint research. China shale gas Twelfth Five Year Plan has been initially formed. The plan, to basically complete by 2015 shale gas resource potential investigation and evaluation, the annual output of 6.5 billion cubic meters; shale gas formed a series of national technical standards and specifications; Sichuan, Chongqing, Shanxi, Liaoning and other provinces focusing on building Yudong western Hubei, Sichuan, Northeast Sichuan, nanchuan other 19 key shale gas exploration and development. By 2020, a substantial increase in 19 key areas reserves and production; annual production of shale gas and strive to 80 billion cubic meters.
